Civil Practice
  • Successfully defended a former employee and his new employer against claims by a former employer for diversion of business, conspiracy, breach of employee duties, breach of fiduciary duties, and breach of confidence, involving a claim in excess of $5 million. An appeal to the appellate division of the High Court was also successfully dismissed. [GTL Agencies (S) Pte Ltd v Neo Boon Huat and others – [2026] SGHC(A) 6]
  • Acted for an MCST, and successfully defended against the claim by a former management council chairperson’s related companies on the basis that internal procurement processes were breached in the related party transaction. The application for leave to appeal, and further appeal to the High Court against said application were dismissed. [That’s Refrigerating & Electrical Engineering LLP v Management Corporation Strata Title Plan No. 4672 and another suit – [2024] SGMC 86]
  • Acted for an investor in a complex high court suit involving misrepresentation and breach of contract where an investor had invested the sum of $5 million which was successfully recovered pursuant to a capital guarantee clause contained in WhatsApp correspondence. [Oan Chim Seng v Leong Kai Rui (Liang Kairui) 2024 SGHC 268]
  • Acted for an intellectual property dispute involving a well-known heritage food brand in Singapore whereby allegations were made of trademark infringement.
  • Acted for an investor in an SIAC arbitration involving a breach of investment agreement and non-performance of specific covenants. Successfully obtained full recovery of the investment sums, guaranteed returns on investment along with indemnity costs.
  • Acted for the supplier of equipment in a complex and multi-party suit involving the damage caused by a warehouse fire.
  • Acted for a company in liquidation to recover funds which were diverted by former directors and officers of the company to related entities, on the basis of a breach of directors’ duties and conspiracy.
  • Acted in various disputes involving the oppression of minority shareholders, breach of directors’ duties, and loss of substratum in family companies.
  • Acted in a complex high value defamation suit involving two competing companies, whereby third-party discovery was successfully obtained against a webhosting company to unmask the ultimate publisher of the website

Criminal Matters
  • Successfully obtained an acquittal for a client in relation to an outrage of modesty offence where he had been accused of molesting a tenant. [Public Prosecutor v Tsai Guang Yao Zhou – [2024] SGMC 14.
  • Successfully resisted an application for forfeiture of bail sum against a bailor where an accused person was absent in Court. [Public Prosecutor v JDC [2025] SGDC 68]
  • Acted for a client who was charged as part of a complex international syndicate involving illicit hacking activity and contentious bail applications.
  • Acted for a client who was charged with cheating and another offence under the Corruption, Drug Trafficking and Other Serious Crimes Act, successfully obtaining the lowest possible sentence amongst other co-accused persons involved. [Public Prosecutor v Zhang Jinxia – [2025] SGDC 64
  • Acted for two companies and an individual who were charged in relation to a fall-from-height incident. [Public Prosecutor v Tan Siew Leng – [2023] SGDC 230
  • Acted for a client who was charged with multiple offences
    including criminal breach of trust against Fujian gang members
    Su Haijin and Su Baoling. [Public Prosecutor v Tan Yong Ren –
    [2024] SGDC 195
  • Acted for a client involving culpable homicide not amounting to murder as a result of an accident along Nicoll Highway.
  • Acted for clients in various trials, magistrates’ appeals and sentencing (including in white-collar crime, sexual offences, and specialiSed regulatory offences)

  • Acted in construction arbitrations, Security of Payment Act adjudications, MCST disputes, as well as contested en bloc sales at the Strata Titles’ Board.

  • Regularly advises on employment related disputes, for both employers and employees (including advisory work for employment tribunal disputes).
  • Regularly advises on corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, investments, share transactions, bonds and tenancy disputes.
