Commercial and civil litigation

  • Assisting in a claim against a company and its sole director for alleged breaches of facility agreements secured by mortgages over properties valued in excess of S$8 million. The matter is ongoing.
  • Assisting in an employment dispute against two former employees of a company for alleged breaches of directors’ duties and alleged secret profits retained by the employees. The case delves into issues involving dishonest assistance and knowing receipt. The matter is ongoing.
  • Assisting in a High Court conspiracy claim by one of the largest logistics service providers in South East Asia against several ex-employees of a subsidiary. The matter is ongoing.

Fraud and Asset Recovery

  • Assisted in various claims against a company for aggregate sums in excess of US$30 million. The claims involved elements of fraud by a listed company and cross-border issues involving multiple parties.
  • Assisting in a claim commenced by a group of foreign investors against various individuals who were involved in the use of the investors’ monies to purchase shares in a listed company on their behalf. The said investors are seeking, among other things, the return of their shares in the Singapore-listed company and the matter delves into breaches of trust. The matter is ongoing.

Shipping and international trade related matters

  • Assisting in a matter involving a dispute in respect of breach of contract arising out of a ship design license agreement. The matter is ongoing.
  • Assisting in a matter involving judicial assistance for the recording of evidence for a claim related to the quality of gasoil carried onboard a ship. The matter is ongoing.
