Arbitration Proceedings for Singapore Mainboard Listed Shipowner Subsidiaries
Acted for the subsidiaries of a Singapore mainboard listed shipowner involved in arbitration proceedings under the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA) Rules over the sale and purchase of a self-elevating jacked-up barge
The dispute related to the sale and purchase of a self-elevating jacked-up barge which served as a platform for gas turbines used to generate electricity in Indonesia.
Allegations of contractual breach were raised by our clients arising from the Dutch company’s failure to meet dry-docking requirements as well as conspiracy and collusion between the Dutch company and third-party Indonesian vessel agents.
The case was recently settled favourably for our clients by way of mediation in London.
